박선기 작가의 설치작품은 숯을 재료로 한 그동안 공공장소에서 봤던 작품의 연장 선상이다. 또한 그는 투명한 크리스탈 아크릴 비즈를 재료로 한 작품을 선보인다. 그의 작품은 빛의 반사가 도드라져 외형이 주는 메시지 외에 작품이 놓인 공간을 재창조하는 재미와 환상을 보여주고 있다. 박선기 작가의 작품은 신라호텔, 메리어트 호텔 등 다수의 공공장소에 설치 되어 있다.
